Cale explains his relluctance to kill Aelloon.
Setting[]
- Inside the mountain
Script[]
The group is eating dinner while sitting around a fire.
Cale'anon | Priestess, I am sorry. I cannot in good conscience assassinate a man of the law. To that end, by the oath I swore, I would urge you to let me quest with you, to gather whatever it is that Aelloon wants from you. Instead of killing him. |
Benn'joon | Would you help me explain how much easier and quicker killing is? |
Richard | I'm still trying to figure out what "conscience" means. |
Benn'joon | You will join us if we go after our quarry? |
Cale'anon | Without hesitation. |
Benn'joon | And you? |
Richard | Depends. What are we after? |
Benn'joon | The Sword of Truth. |
Richard | The Sword of Truth? Are you kidding me? Who would want such a useless relic? |
Cale'anon | What does it do? |
Benn'joon | When wielded- |
Richard | It gives you the magical power of anger. |
Cale'anon | It makes you angry? That's all? |
Benn'joon | It's a little more complicated then that. |
Richard | Behold! I have discovered the fork of truth. Who would dare oppose me now? Now that I'm armed with my anger- And my fork? |
The rest of the group begins to walk away.
Richard | Grr? I'm just acting out because I don't get to kill anyone. |
